Happy dog days of summer!  Hard to believe we are already through more than half the year!

The Annual Deep Sea Fishing Trip was on June 24!  The weather was great, seas were calm and everyone got on the fish!  That means it was a great day fishing! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Chapter.

Please mark your calendars for the following dates:  September 9 is a Skeet Shoot at Jax Clay Sports; October 20 is Oktoberfest at Speck Pumps; November 16
is the Table Top at Maggiano’s; and in December there will be no meeting.

The upcoming State Board meeting will be held September 16-17, 2022 at Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota. The rate cut off is August 29!

The annual FSPA High School Invitational Swimming & Diving Meet is set for September 23-24 at Sailfish Splash Aquatic Athletics Center in Stuart.  Volunteers will be needed for this event. The Chapter will reimburse you for your hotel stay, per diem and mileage. Please contact Cole Hairston or Debi Garner for more information! Additionally, you can sign up to be a sponsor of the swim meet at www.FSPASwimMeet.com.

The FSPA Sail Away cruise is scheduled for October 24-29 on the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas, departing from Cape Canaveral. A cabin for two is only $1,540 which includes taxes and gratuities!

Welcome to our newest members: Jag City Pools; Cabana Springs Pool Cleaning, Gorman Company – St. Augustine; Tempool, Inc., Backyard Innovations, LLC.

During the 2022 Legislative Session, SB 222 passed all legislative policy committees and the State House and State Senate unanimously. The bill received the final signature from Gov. DeSantis so now CPC and RPC contractors can hire swimming pool and spa subcontractors regardless of local or state license status, similar to the “Jim Walters” exemption that home builders have had for over a decade.

As always, this is your Chapter, make the most of it by attending meetings and participating in the events.  Speak up – if there are things you want to see us doing, let us know! We are always looking for new ideas and we would really like to see some new people interested in serving on the Board of Directors.
