Florida West Coast Chapter

The World’s Largest Swim Lesson was held Thursday, June 20. Thank you to Tim Conroy, HornerXpress, and Chapter Executive Director Malinda Howard for representing the Chapter at the Veterans Memorial Park Pool in Hudson.  We handed out safety materials to over 50 participants.  It was a great event!

The Chapter Board met on Tuesday, July 2 at Queen’s Pizza. The next Board of Directors meeting will be held at noon Tuesday, August 6 at Queen’s Pizza, 1834 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater. Our Board of Directors meetings are usually scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month. We are always interested in hearing your ideas for Chapter meetings and programs.

The Chapter kicked off their Independence Day celebration with a night at the ballpark on Wednesday, July 3, at Spectrum Field in Clearwater. We had 123 attendees, including our pool professionals, their families and friends, enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat buffet, the baseball game, and an outstanding post-game fireworks show!  Rep. Chris Latvala threw out an opening pitch. Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for an evening of food, fun, and fireworks!

Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the Florida West Coast Chapter’s Annual Pool Industry Table Top Event on Tuesday, October 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall – Great Room, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater.  We will have an exciting mixture of pool industry displays, food, drinks, and prizes.  All suppliers and vendors should make plans to display their products at this popular event that is always well attended by pool industry professionals. Reserve your spot by Tuesday, October 1. Call or e-mail the Chapter office today for exhibitor registration information.
