Oct. 2019 Chapter News

Charlotte Harbor News

We had a very educational two hour lien law CE class taught by Erik Szabo, Shutts & Bowen LLP, on September 9. Thank you, Erik, for taking the time to inform our members!

We look forward to seeing you all on October 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Buffalo Wings and Rings in North Port for the one hour ORP and pH Controllers CE class (CILB corse #0609202, meets general requirement, Florida Pool & Spa Association d/b/a Florida Swimming Pool Association CILB Providership #0000917). Please remember to RSVP by checking your email.

The Chapter was happy to present $2,000 to the FSPA Scholarship Program at the last FSPA state Board meeting. With that, we are thrilled that our local members and their employee’s college-age dependents take advantage of such an amazing program. We would like to congratulate Emily Nadel, daughter of Ofer Nadel of Isles Pool Service, on receiving a 2019 merit scholarship, which was matched by the Bill Kent Family Foundation. We wish you the best of luck with your academic pursuits!

Design Awards, Service Professional of the Year and Tops in Trucks entry forms for 2020 are available. Your hard work in the pool industry deserves some recognition!  Customers will love to hear that you are an award-winning pool industry professional.  Prepare now, entries are due October 31.

Your 2019 Chapter Board is working on exciting and educational events. Please let us hear from you with any suggestions for speakers or events.  If you haven’t already, please like our Facebook page at FSPA Charlotte Harbor Chapter to keep up with upcoming events and meetings.
