FSPA Education Gears for a Strong 2019 Finish

The first half of 2019 has been productive for FSPA continuing education. Through the FSPA Providership, there have been 109 hours of continuing education credit transferred to the CILB.

This number includes chapter and state offered continuing education. To meet the growing demand for contractor continuing education, FSPA will be holding the 2019 Summer Refresher offering 7 hours of CE.

“Taking the 2019 Summer Refresher classes is a great opportunity to not only earn continuing education credit, but you just might learn something interesting that you didn’t know,” said Mary Anderson, FSPA Education Program Manager.  “We’ve had students tell us time after time how much these classes help them in their professional development.”

Members and non-members can attend the entire day or just the classes needed to fulfill the education requirement for license renewal.  Required topics include; WPS, WC, BP, FBC Adv., and LR, as well as 2 hours of GEN credit.

“Each year FSPA works hard to keep continuing education classes updated and relevant to our members,” said Anderson. “It’s important to assist our members to stay as up-to-date as possible with the rapidly changing technological time, but to also help increase their knowledge and skills to ensure greater success for professional development and success in the business.”

Continuing education is free to member companies and their employees. All upcoming CE classes can be found on the FSPA Industry Calendar.

The Florida Swimming Pool Association is an approved course sponsor by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB), the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board (ECLB) and the Board of Landscape Architects (BOLA); providership #0000917. A CE Advisory Committee reviews all courses and instructors to assure that they meet standards of high quality and relevancy to members’ needs as pool and spa professionals.

FSPA will be offering a Summer Refresher course, which is free for members.  You can register online by clicking here.  For more information on FSPA's continuing education program, click here.
